CHROME WAVES EXEMPLIFY THEIR MIDWEST POST-BLACK METAL ON LATEST MUSIC VIDEO/ DIGITAL SINGLE HEADING TOWARDS NEXT WEEK’S ALBUM RELEASE

"’Broken’ is a song that's been in our demo folder for a couple years now,” explains guitarist Jeff Wilson. “For some reason it just never fit into the tracklist on a proper album until now. It's definitely got the vibe of our earlier material, which was something we were aiming for this time; it's also the perfect closer for this record."

“Broken” follows two earlier listens into the new album – “The Nail” https://youtu.be/MyKZK5irMHk and “Under the Weight of a Billion Souls” https://youtu.be/OpkI7j4KU6s, which teased audiences with the group’s forward-thinking amalgamation of influences into something uniquely their own. Combining key elements of CHROME WAVES’ sound, you’ll be entranced by the traditional and modern black metal aspects, while venturing into more ambient and alternative moments that pull you in balancing the light and darkness of their sound.

The new album, ‘Earth Will Shed Its Skin,’ comes out worldwide April 28th. Engineered by Jeff Wilson and Tyler Watkins, with Tyler handling mixing and mastering with artwork was created by Valnoir/Metastazis (Alcest, Amorphis, Behemoth, Ulver). The album will be available on CD and two variant formats of limited vinyl, 250 copies on Blue Jay Splatter for the US, and 250 Clear & Silver color-in-color for UK/EU. While CHROME WAVES formed in 2010 as a project amongst friends, guitarist Jeff Wilson continues what was begun before The Atlas Moth’s Stavros Giannopoulos became too busy and Gates of Slumber drummer Bob Fouts’ unexpected passing. Through a series of several self-released single, EP and album releases CHROME WAVES have built a reputation through music, live shows and critical response from publications like Spin, Billboard and Revolver to cement themselves an appreciation and uniqueness that sets the band apart from many in the scene. In 2018 Jeff, whose resume includes work with Abigail Williams, Wolvhammer and Nachtmystium, with a full-time focus to concentrate on CHROME WAVES teamed up with Amiensus’ James Benson on guitar, vocals and synth in aim to continue their vision adding in Nachtmystium bassist Zion Meagher to the core a couple years later. Drummer Garry Naples of Novembers Doom, Wolvhammer and Hatemonger performs drums on ‘Earth Will Shed Its Skin.’

More information on CHROME WAVES and the upcoming album release will be revealed in the weeks to come at www.facebook.com/chromewavesofficial and by M-Theory Audio.
