Cogito by APOTHEUS is taken from the upcoming album "Ergo Atlas" to be released October 6th, 2023 by Black Lion Records. Millions of years after “The Far Star” mission took place, artificial intelligence came up with an ingenious plan that puts life in the Universe at risk. This second volume of the saga created in the 2019 album and book, inspired by the work of the science fiction writer Issac Asimov,Band states"Cogito" is a memorable and thought-provoking song that explores the dilemma between living a life of pain or accepting death. It's the most philosophical song of the album, and its name, taken from the famous philosophical proposition "Cogito ergo sum," perfectly encapsulates its central theme. The song's intro is particularly noteworthy, building up gradually and smoothly in a way that is unlike anything the band has done before. As the song progresses, the music becomes more urgent and intense, with a memorable chorus that emphasizes the emotional weight of the lyrics. The vocals are forceful and emotive, capturing the pain and desperation of the philosophical struggle at the heart of the song. Apotheus introduces new atmospheres and emotions in the nine chapters of the new album, in a roller coaster of melodies, messages, and intrigues that will berevealed along with the musical and literary work sequel.► Order here: https://snd.click/Ergoatlas► Stream/Listen to https://orcd.co/firewall ► Listen to the fourth Chapter here!" https://thefarstar.apotheus.net/The group consists of Miguel Andrade (vocals/rhythm guitar), Luís "Gold Monkey" (lead guitar), Daniel Rocha (bass), and Albano “von Hammer” (drums).Produced by Apotheus and Jorge LopesRecorded, mixed, and Mastered by Jorge Lopes at Redboxstudios, Portugal.Follow Apotheushttps://www.apotheus.net/https....://www.facebook.com/ Black Lion Recordshttps://www.facebook.com/black....lionrecordsswehttps: directed by Fábio CarneiroFirst assistant Ana Catarina Pinto"filmed at Redboxstudioshttps://redboxstudios.pt/"
