HENGET is a Finnish psychedelic/avant-garde black metal band founded in Finland during late 2021 by guitarist-songwriter Jesse J. Heikkinen and vocalist-lyricist King Aleijster de Satan.” There’s something strangely seductive about the eight tracks included on 'Beyond North Star', as if the listeners were invited to enter some alternative and colourful place, dangerous and scary yet always otherworldly. Some may argue that all along you will most likely cross there the ghosts of Dødheimsgård, Arcturus or King Crimson. The name HENGET was chosen because of its double meaning as it can be translated both as ‘life’ but also ‘spirits’, “a perfect name for an occult band”. Beyond North Star is a “loose” concept album, like one long journey, even if the songs are not exactly tied up together. One they will never forget.

"'Through the Depths' is a conversation between a higher power and humans regarding the power of thinking ideas into existence, but being very careful of being arrogant behind those wants and needs.
The first lines give this away: “Attention attention, you’re seeking, you've asked for, it’s given" (the higher power says).
Then the lines of the chorus are that same higher power speaking to humans, saying: 'through the depths to the ascension, nothing you wouldn’t do for my attention, held to the fire it’s not my crime, you've pinned it on me for the last time.' Cultus Black is an aggressive hard-hitting music project that identifies itself as a cult. JOETOWN remakes this AC/DC all-time classic complete with bagpipes and a truck full of attitude. Typically the band's show closer, the video footage is from the St. Patrick's Day Parade in New Haven CT and the Wallingford Connecticut 350th Anniversary Parade, both in 2022.
