DENDERA Unveil Music Video For Title Track "Mask Of Lies" Off Forthcoming Album Out June 2024

Signing to Rockhots Records for their forthcoming album "Mask of Lies" out this June 2024, the UK's Dendera has been on a steady rise while playing sell-out shows and festivals across Europe and in their home country along with supporting bands such as Sepultura, Queensrÿche, Saxon, Death Angel, Gloryhammer, Skindred, Rhapsody of Fire and many more.

Expertly delivering modern melodic metal, Dendera's combination of towering clean vocals and powerful screams along with unfaltering musicianship, energetic performances, and stunning choruses has rightfully earned them a reputation as a formidable band. Their steadfast handcrafted approach means they operate almost entirely self-sufficiently. This gives the band the ultimate edge when trying to hone their sound meaning they can push the best from themselves and always deliver professional results.

Starting with double kicks, a crushing riff, and a hard-picked guitar melody, the song takes no time getting to the point. From the intro, screams unleash a four-to-the-floor verse with a huge, aggressive vocal line from frontman Ash.

The band comments on the single:
"This is a song about rising up against oppression that will resonate with many people in the modern world, Mask Of Lies brings an unstoppable chorus with call and response clean and scream vocals. A chorus that is sure to impress live. A heavy and modern breakdown section cements Dendera’s musical shift into a more modern sound before getting to the last chorus with an inspiring and goosebump-raising orchestral break that will have the listener wanting to go back and listen again."

"'Faded Ghost' was initially written as a ‘breather’ for the record but soon after looking at it in deeper detail during its creation, it evolved into what we now consider a part 2 of an old song of ours entitled ‘Just For A Moment...’. The material featured on ‘Beneath the Threshold’ was always meant to be more riff-based and driving, whilst still retaining multi-layered guitar, bass and keyboard parts. Yet to retain the feel of a more open, atmospheric song, we structured ’Faded Ghost’ in more or less the same manner as the aforementioned track and employed clean vocals/additional harmonies for the entire track once again. Lyrically, delving in obscure and dark subject, with the personal element seemingly removed. "

The Vancouver duo Tribunal may yet be unknown to the wider world, but spellbinding debut album ‘The Weight Of Remembrance’ is poised to immediately change that. Steeped in the black velvet finery of Gothic Doom Metal, Tribunal weave dark tales of ultimate judgement, never-ending rain and forsaken despair.

Featuring classically trained cellist / bassist / vocalist Soren Mourne and guitarist / vocalist Etienne Flinn, the duo’s brick heavy classic Doom riffage borders on Death Metal heaviness, like My Dying Bride filtered through a colossal stained glass edifice. The sound is instantly familiar with nods to the 80s and 90s but never sounds retro or like mere homage. Rather ‘The Weight of Remembrance’ evokes the feeling of a painstakingly composed orchestral movement fit for a crumbling cathedral overgrown with moss. The duo frequently trade off vocals alternating between haunted wailing cleans, scathing black-metal style shrieks and dread-filled death calls.

Tribunal’s debut is an essential addition to the modern Doom canon, one which can expand in infinite musical directions from a base of crushing tragic heaviness and forlorn purpose. In that sense ‘The Weight Of Remembrance’ has the accomplished atmosphere of a band beyond their years in the scope and execution of its vision.
