Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation were re-recorded at The Platinum Underground. The albums were produced by Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the engineering. Arthur Rizk was responsible for the mixing and mastering of both albums. CAVALERA enlisted Eliran Kantor to create the artwork for both albums.

The main riff was something totally different, and when we presented it to our producer (Chris Collier) we had a really good vision for the arrangement, but he totally heard something different! He sent us a few demos back and it was like โWhoa shit, there it is!โโ
Going into the themes and message behind โI Canโt Escapeโ, Ogle adds:
โThis was one of those songs that Joe immediately had lyrics and vocal ideas for and it really hits home for me with the topic of alcohol and substance addiction. There have been so many people throughout my adult life that I have watched get sucked into the pitfalls of that party lifestyle. When youโre young and in your 20s, nothing is a big deal, itโs all fun and games. Then, when you hit the 30s and 40s, things start to change, right? Suddenly these drinking habits are a bit more controlling than one might have realized and can open the gateway to other substances that are more lethal.
โWe hope that this song connects with everyone that has had mental health, addiction, or substance issues in their lives or a loved oneโs life. More than anything, the overall theme on this record is about overcoming, rising up, healing, and silencing fears and weaknesses that plague us all.โ

Arizona death-crusters GO AHEAD AND DIE deliver their caustic sophomore album Unhealthy Mechanisms via Nuclear Blast Records. A torrential whirlwind born from the livid minds of Igor Amadeus Cavalera (HEALING MAGIC) and Max Cavalera (SOULFLY, CAVALERA CONSPIRACY). This new installment to the band's dystopian catalog is a fresh dive into the madness of society and the pollution that ravages our minds.
Unhealthy Mechanisms was produced by Igor Amadeus Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the recording in his Platinum Underground Studio steeped in the mystic ambiance of the Superstition Mountainsโ foothills. The mixing and mastering were once again handled by Arthur Rizk (CAVALERA, SOULFLY, TURNSTILE ). For the artwork, the band enlisted Santiago Jaramillo of Triple Seis Design to create the unnerving design that fits with the album title. GO AHEAD AND DIE's newest record is a testament to declining mental health around the world, and a reminder that we are not alone in our pain. The mind is lost. The fuse is lit. Time to set everything ablaze.

The self-titled album by Swedish death metal legends DISMEMBER was originally released in 2008 and is the only album in the group's career to not feature mastermind, drummer and producer Fred Estby. Vocalist Kayla Shamlin explains "I came up with the idea for 'Love and Enemy' with one person in mind. This song is about a toxic friendship that I was in for most of my life. This friendship was filled with guilt, invalidation, ultimatums, and so much more. However, I thought this is what friendships were supposed to be like. This person created a false paradise that I lived in for years. I never thought about leaving because that was my person. I loved them so much. They were who I spent all my time with, even though it hurt me. It took me leaving, which was one of the hardest things Iโve ever done, to realize, โThis isnโt what friendships are supposed to be like.โ I suffered a lot emotionally afterwards. I learned so many things that this friendship took away from me. The lyrics, โI start to panic thinking about you,โ is a true statement. Just thinking about them or seeing them standing in the same restaurant, store, or even my work, sent me into awful panic attacks. Every time I saw them, it felt like I was frozen. I dealt with that for years. Writing this song has given me a type of closure I wouldn't have gotten from them. The end of this song is everything I've wanted to say to them. For years I wanted it back. My sanity, my power, the ability to breathe freely without the fear of being dismissed. This is me taking my power back. The beauty of this song is that it can be used in any scenario. A toxic relationship with a partner, an addiction you can't get rid of, those awful thoughts in your head. This gave me the ability to live freely and hopefully, it will give you some hope for you to do the same."
Kayla Shamlin - Vocals - is an avid metal fan. She grew up in the music industry due to her close relationship with her father. She now gets her first chance at a taste of the stage.
Curtis Shamlin - Vocals - blasted on to the metal scene at the end of the last millennium as the frontman for GRYP (Walden Media/ W Records, Metro One Records). Then again in 2002 with Rock/Metal band Speakers for the Dead (Magna Carta Records). He is also a former middle school principal, former elementary school principal, and former high school VP.
Robert Gonzalez - Guitars - has an extensive music career playing in many bands including Mynis, The Next Page, GRYP, Fusion Porn and several more. Robert and Curtis became friends when Robert helped to record and produce Speakers for the Deadโs demo. Robertโs band Mynis and Speakers for the Dead toured the northwest together.
Mher Ekezian - DJ and Sounds - came from the EDM scene where he performs as Mike EFEX (Coldharbour Recordings) and is known in the EDM industry worldwide.
Brandon Smart - Bass - played his first show ever when he was a kid with none other than our guitarist, Robert Gonzalez and later went on to create The Fusion Porn together. He has played bass on numerous albums and has performed live with many artists from Trey Tosh to Jessie Farnsworth of Newsted.
Andy Johnson - Drums - Andy is a long-time friend of Curtis and Robert's and is a former member of GRYP.

Probably the most melodic and accessible album by Sweden's DISMEMBER, โMassive Killing Capacityโ spawned hits like 'Casket Garden', 'On Frozen Fields', 'Collection by Blood', and 'Life - Another Shape of Sorrow'. Adding more Maiden-like parts and brick-heavy grooves, the 1995 released record showed that DISMEMBER can be more than just a musical chainsaw ripping your ears apart.

Including a barrage of great tracks like 'Misanthropic', 'Of Fire', 'Silent Are The Watchers', it also marked the debut of drummer Fred Estby as producer. This remaster by Patrick W. Engel adds an impressive additional punch resulting in the ultimate version of this classic. The CD and Digital Album will contain 5 bonus tracks.

2000's โHate Campaignโ is the fifth studio album by Swedish death metal legends DISMEMBER and back then, was the last record on Nuclear Blast. It remained in line with the group's tradition of riff-driven, at times melodic, often groovy, always efficient brand of old school death metal. With 'Beyond Good and Evil', 'In Death's Cold Embrace', 'Patrol 17' or the title track, โHate Campaignโ also includes a whole bunch of strong songs.

NOLA thrash and groove trailblazers EXHORDER have revealed details and plans for the release of their eagerly anticipated 4th full-length record, Defectum Omnium, thatโs due out March 8th, 2024 from Nuclear Blast Records. The album follows the bandโs critically revered 2019 release Mourn The Southern Skies.
Commenting on the impending album, vocalist/guitarist Kyle Thomas states:
โItโs been quite a journey for Exhorder since the 2019 release of โMourn the Southern Skiesโ. Lineup changes as well as the 2020-2021 pandemic and lockdown presented hurdles that werenโt easy to overcome. But we persevered, kept our heads down and went to work with intense focus and real goals. One of those goals was to bring our fourth full length album to our fan base. โDefectum Omniumโ is a collaborative effort in songwriting, much as it was in the early days of Exhorder. We produced it ourselves, as we felt no need or desire to bring in anyone from the outside based upon our shared vision. It was also important to us not only to continue the natural progression this band has been in since the early 90โs, but to put a foot back into our roots. The influence punk and hardcore had on this band from getting our start in the New Orleans punk rock scene has a strong presence. Weโve also made sure to keep plenty of our thrash roots as well in our songwriting process.
But we have also managed to keep our doom roots alive, which first surfaced on the song โ(Cadence of) the Dirgeโ back in 1992. In fact, on one new song we have guest appearances by Rick Wartell and Bruce Franklin from Trouble, and they absolutely killed it!
From the time that we began pre-production until the actual release date, we can promise you that every bit of โDefectum Omniumโ was crafted with great care, and we are really excited about it! Our goal was to make an album that WE loved and gives the experience of a journey, or maybe even a rollercoaster ride effect. We canโt wait to share it with the world!โ
Without further ado, EXHORDER kicks in the door of 2024 with a savage new track, โYear of the Goat,โ that sets the neck-snapping pace for the record to come.
Adding on the new song, Thomas says:
โOur debut single โYear of the Goatโ is a fast paced, chugging piece in the spirit of the influence that Motรถrhead had on punk rock bands like Charged GBH and The Exploited. The lyrical approach is a throwback to early Exhorder attitude, and we had a ton of fun filming the video at a free show that we performed in the greater Cincinnati area. 2024 is the year of the goat!!!โ
