Melodic death metallers Voidfallen have unleashed an intense new single, "Starved Of Martyrs", a first taste of the upcoming album the band is currently working on. The track is accompanied by a brand new and captivating music video, which you can watch here.

Commenting on the new single, Voidfallen states: "Starved of Martyrs is a fast and relentless track that adds almost a thrashy feeling to the band’s otherwise blackened melodeath sound palette. The theme of the song revolves around the toxic glorification of living in misery."

Hailing from Helsinki, Finland, and formed in 2019 as a two man project by guitarists Tommi Kangaskortet and Henri Vuorenmaa, the goal has always been to learn from previous mistakes and to create music with no compromises. After recording the band's debut EP titled "The Sinners, the Plague and the Voidfallen" (2019) the remaining slots were filled with skilled musicians in order to prepare for live shows and ever since, Voidfallen has been making a fast-growing name for itself.
But not only musically in terms of quality of compositions and production, this band has always paid lots of attention to the visual aspects, taking the melodeath genre to new heights with their dark approach and stunning visual effects.

Following the release of their critically acclaimed debut album "The Atlas of Spiritual Apocalypse" (2021), Voidfallen caught the attention of German record label Noble Demon, with whom the band will release their highly anticipated sophomore full-length record in early 2024.

PRESS RELEASE- “’I Can’t Escape’ is one of my favorite songs on the record. The main riff was something totally different, and when we presented it to our producer (Chris Collier) we had a really good vision for the arrangement, but he totally heard something different! He sent us a few demos back and it was like ‘Whoa shit, there it is!’”

Going into the themes and message behind “I Can’t Escape”, Ogle adds:

“This was one of those songs that Joe immediately had lyrics and vocal ideas for and it really hits home for me with the topic of alcohol and substance addiction. There have been so many people throughout my adult life that I have watched get sucked into the pitfalls of that party lifestyle. When you’re young and in your 20s, nothing is a big deal, it’s all fun and games. Then, when you hit the 30s and 40s, things start to change, right? Suddenly these drinking habits are a bit more controlling than one might have realized and can open the gateway to other substances that are more lethal.

“We hope that this song connects with everyone that has had mental health, addiction, or substance issues in their lives or a loved one’s life. More than anything, the overall theme on this record is about overcoming, rising up, healing, and silencing fears and weaknesses that plague us all.”

Solemn Vision is a Brooklyn-based melodic death metal band renowned in the mid-Atlantic metal circuit for their eclectic take on the genre.
The band brings in a range of influences, most heavily building on the sounds of early Melodic Death Metal acts as well as Progressive titans such as Opeth and Death. Their focus has always been on showmanship and high-energy stage presence, complimenting raw musicianship. This lethal formula has packed out venues and wowed audiences all around the region.

The concept album Afterlife depicts an interdimensional being that stalks life in our universe because it represents a threat to existence itself. And the human species, or at least what it has become after the events described in the previous creations of Angel Rising, is now its target. The cover shows the hero, Asai, struggling with a horde of undead, and unaware of the even greater danger that awaits him.
