𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝘁𝗰𝗵𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗪𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘀 is Weeping Silence’s first single from their upcoming album 𝗜𝗦𝗟𝗘𝗦 𝗢𝗙 𝗟𝗢𝗥𝗘 - that is inspired by the timeless allure of Maltese folklore characters, creatures and legends. This album exemplifies the current stage in Weeping Silence’s stylistic evolution - that might be best described as Melodic Metal with influences from Progressive and Death Metal.

This opening track is about “Il-Ħares” a secretive and violently ill-tempered guardian spirit that watches over households and can provide gold coins or favours - in exchange for strict terms and conditions e.g. an adherence to a code of silence. He lives within the walls and floors and is usually invisible but, on rare occasions, takes the visible form of a hooded man with dog-like features, a black snake, a large cat, etc.
