Tyler Harper (guitar) comments: "We are so honored to have worked with Candace Puopolo on this track. I grew up listening to Walls of Jericho and they were always a major influence on my music. To have a legend involved with what we're doing is such a rad feeling."
Tracking in Estuary Recording Studios in Austin, Texas, with Andrew Hernandez, Errors was mixed by Taylor Young and mastered by Brad Boatright, the latter two having worked on In Transmission (2021). Guitarist Tyler Harper comments, "I knew that I wanted it to pick up where the first album left off, but that it needed to have an entirely new attitude. If you listen to the last song from 'In Transmission' into the first song on 'Errors', it's a continuation. From there the album steers off into a direction that still feels similar but is new." Coming primarily from a hardcore background, giving listeners a sense of nostalgia for the sounds of the late 90's and early 2000's hardcore and punk scenes, but also incorporating elements of metal that complement the overall tone, everything the band does on Errors resonates with emotion; nothing is forced.
For collaborations, Capra recruited Walls Of Jericho vocalist Candace Puopolo to add her inimitable tones to "Human Commodity," while their friend Dustin Coffman from Glassing added backing vocals to a handful of tracks. Producer Hernandez also added some piano to "Nora," which closes out the album in a very different manner than anything they've previously explored. In a complete juxtaposition to the tracks that precede it, "Nora" is atmospheric and lithe, delicate and haunting. "I've always wanted to show a prettier/lighter side to this band where it's not always aggressive," says Harper. "Life is a rollercoaster and sometimes you need to throw some pretty piano into it." Since Capra's inception, Harper has always envisaged each album being a continuation of the last, and then breaking it off into its own journey, seeing "Nora" as "a fun way to start album three!"
Until then, the band will tour like the road warriors they have become, bringing Errors to North America and overseas (see below for all upcoming dates). Capra are eager to bond with fans new and old. Lotus explains that crucial connection: "Care about us because we care about you. And because we are a part of creating something our community can be proud of."

“Looking Glass” marks the beginning of a conceptual four-song sequence that introduces listeners to “The Dark Parade,” a visceral and poignant multi-song presentation that leaves little room for happy endings. “Is it a nightmare tale of self-reflection or just another journey through the cracks in our reality and the curse of broken dreams?” asks vocalist Tim Baker, shedding a little light on the “darkness” within. “It’s not quite what Lewis Carroll [author of Alice's Adventures In Wonderland, Through The Looking-Glass etc.] had in mind, but an even more bleak and deadly vision. Alice found that her visions were the complete opposite of her dreams, but here they are one and the same. Will waking dispel the nightmares, or are our waking hours just the extension of them? Once we smash the mirror, there is no turning back.”
Few bands in the history of the heavy metal underground have a story as remarkable, improbable, or uplifting as that of CIRITH UNGOL. Formed in Ventura, California in the early 1970s, rather than passively channeling their influences, the band was driven to forge an altogether heavier, darker, more apocalyptic sound the world had never experienced before. It was obscure and arcane, mysterious and eccentric, epic and expansive, but most of all, unfailingly, bone-crushingly heavy, dark, and doom-filled.
Wasting no time to ride the molten wave they started with their 2020-released studio comeback Forever Black, CIRITH UNGOL started writing songs for Dark Parade as soon as Forever Black was released. Then, like everyone else, they were hamstrung by the global pandemic, struggling through illness, seclusion, grief, and depression in their quest to create dark, vibrant art. But like the greatest warriors, they persevered, working on one song at a time, fueled by personal misery and the tragedy of worldwide collapse.

A new Satanic Panic is on its way! SATANIC NORTH is what happens when you let two well-known Finnish metal artists stare into the abyss for too long: Petri Lindroos (Ensiferum, Warmen) and Janne Parviainen (Ensiferum) are well-traveled, experienced musicians who have stared into said abyss long enough for the abyss to stare back with interest at some point.
The album came together quickly and effortlessly, exorcized and recorded during an unholy summer - which of course also shows how urgently this band was needed. "We kept everything very simple and practical. We didn't want to waste too many takes to keep the songs raw and natural," Petri explains. "The mix was completed by the winter solstice and now this beast lies in wait, ready to be unleashed." This will happen in April 2024: Here is an album storming towards us in the sign of hell, delivering an unrelenting, extreme approach to a genre that has perhaps become a little soft and tender of late. "We all have the same vision of black metal, and that vision is: stop the midtempo, let's bring back the blastbeats," Petri chants.

Comments returning vocalist Ezra Haynes, “Originally recorded during the same session as our last single, ‘Inhumation,’ we wanted to release ‘Iridescent’ to give our fans a little love before we full send our next album cycle. This stand-alone single was cut from the very cloth of ALLEGAEON's Elements Of The Infinite era. Perfect timing too, as we're about to head out on the North American leg of the Cancer Culture Tour with Decapitated, Speticflesh, and Kataklysm this April. It will be very cool to see how the newer material is received. Here we are, just about ten years from when we released the song ‘1.618.’ We still get asked to this very day about our wheel of subgenres, or, ‘Where's the crab?’ I'm really looking forward to the next ten-plus years of glizzies.”
Adds guitarist Greg Burgess, “The music for ‘Iridescent’ spawned from my excitement of working with Ezra again. We had been throwing ideas back and forth, rekindling our writing chemistry, and this song just seemed to write itself. The accompanying video's subject matter evolved much like our video for ‘1.618.’ Five guys sat around talking about stupid things until we started laughing. Then the question was posed... ‘What if?’ Anyway, I hope people like hotdogs and stupid videos.”

"The video was shot exactly a year ago whilst the band was on tour in Mexico. It was our first tour there, and being Mexican myself, it was an incredible experience to be able to go back to Mexico and perform there live with Neonfly for the first time, after so many years. It was one of the most exciting tours we’ve ever done. We played a few headline shows and a few shows supporting Epica. The fans were absolutely wild and what was incredible was having the chance to perform to very large crowds that had never heard of us before, and seeing how they fell in love with the band as we played our set and were going absolutely wild by the end of the show."
He continues:
"The whole video was shot and edited by my good friend Daniel Zanco, who did a fantastic job, and really captured the excitement and good vibes of those shows. And now that we’re about to hit the road again, this time in Germany, another one of our favourite countries where we have toured so much over the past 10 years, we thought it would be great to release this video with scenes from the road to get everyone pumped up about our upcoming shows supporting the awesome Escape The Fate, which I think will be a great match for us musically, especially with our latest album. "Last of our Kind" is taken from the band's latest album "The Future, Tonight" (2021, Noble Demon) and is a hard-hitting song with modern riffs and a contemporary feel, which is also reflected in the lyrics. Vocalist Willy Norton comments: "It's a song about chaos and how chaos is bringing us politically and the democracies to our knees. And how frightening that can be and how that might lead to a terminal decline in the way we live, hence the last of our kind, there's no one left. And the last of our kind of the people who believe in reason, the people who believe in ideas, the people who believe in equality, the people who believe in us holding the line between stupidity, not fun stupidity, but just stupid stupidity, and using our heads to keep the world going."

HEXED finished their first Video “Exhaling Life” feat. Thomas Vikström (Therion) and was filmed at locations around Uppsala, Sweden. I'ts been a fantastic experience with this awesome crew that made this possible. We want to Thank all of you who participated in this video!

HEXED is a new Female Fronted Metal band from Sweden. HEXED is a blend of thick driving rhythms, melodic and sometimes progressively orientated, but always with catchy chorus lines and strong powerful vocals. HEXED music and lyrics has a dark, atmospheric and symphonic layer embedded into it. HEXED was formed in late winter 2015 by Vocalist Tina and Lead-guitar/vocalist Stellan in Uppsala - Sweden. Their intentions was to start up a new band with a unique sound and with high-quality female vocals as the main components. Songs began to be produced and the concept grew further. And when Bass-player Daniel Håkansson along with Teddy Möller on Drums (Loch Vostok) were chosen to take their places in the band, HEXED were complete as a concept.
HEXED first Single and Lyric-video release "Dreams" was launched early 2016, and the first full-length album "Netherworld" is complete and ready. The album cover-art is made by the amazing Mattias Norén at Progart-Media who has done outstanding cover-art for a lot of bands like Epica, Evergrey, Sabaton, Circus Maximus, Minds Eye, Into Eternity, Kamelot, Cloudscape, Derek Sherinian, John Petrucci, The Murder Of My Sweet, Anubis Gate and more.

NONPOINT releases their revision of "When Doves Cry". The single was originally released by Prince and the Revolution in 1984 and was one of the hit singles from the album Purple Rain.
Vocalist Elias Soriano says, “Our fans throughout the years have always had a quiet romance with the songs we like to cover. Seeing that our biggest showing in that category, our cover of Phil Collins ‘In The Air Tonight,’ was a suggestion from a friend and fan of the band, we thought it only fitting we let all our fans have a chance to throw their hats in the ring this time. So in the middle of a global pandemic, we threw up a bracket style voting tournament with a list of contenders from Metallica to DMX. As fans voted over a few weeks, it was exciting to watch it go from 16 songs to the final two, Metallica’s - Nothing Else Matters vs Prince’s - When Doves Cry. When they chose Prince, the real work began. We went through version after version. We knew we had to do it justice in the biggest way we could as tribute to Prince and still make it Nonpoint. I’m happy to report from initial response among the few who have heard it is exciting and we look forward to our fans singing it for years to come.”
