Sweden's Stygian Fair will be releasing its new album entitled "Aradia" this coming August via Rockshots Records. It is the band's fourth full-length and follows "Equilibrium" (2021), "Nadir" (2020), and the debut "Panta Rei" (2018).
Formed originally in Umeå, Sweden, Stygian Fair's new album "Aradia" features new vocalist/guitarist Andreas Stoltz (Binary Creed, Hollow) along with Emil Holmqvist (Guitar), Anders Hedman (Bass), and P-O Jonsson (Drums). The music is heavy, pondering, and a unique blend of new and old, heavy epic metal.
"We think the fans will recognize the style of Stygian Fair. There are a lot of strong tracks on the album and it’s also very varied." adds the band.
Featuring 10 tracks of assorted AOR melodic metal, this album will touch and transport listeners to a place where melodies, words, and musicianship become emotion and images.
"We rely on good melodies and the rhythm section is, as from the beginning, vital to the band’s sound. Now that Andreas is in the band there is more room to play around with the guitar parts, so that might be something different on this album. But we think that old fans won’t be disappointed with Aradia!"
"Aradia" is a monument of honest metal. The band has no ambition of jumping aboard any current music fads but does whatever they like and feel works when they play together. There are softer songs and heavier songs, but all of them will convey something to fans, especially those who enjoy Rush, Memento Mori, or Tad Morose.
“Aradia is one of those albums you’ll return to many, many times. We’ve made it heavy, metal, and totally honest. There’s beauty here, there’s sadness, anger, loss, and longing. Things you’ll be able to relate to. That’s important to Stygian Fair since you’re important to us. Why else would we be doing this? We’re really pleased with the diversity of the songs: plenty of heavy guitars, drums that propel and persuade, a bass that moves and grooves plus of course singing that speaks to your soul in whispers and screams. We think you’ll like it!” adds the band.
The band's first single and title track is now available to hear and is being unveiled with an accompanying music video.

“Aradia is based upon a 20-year-old riff and it’s great that it finally evolved into a full song. Now it’s really a band effort with all members participating with their individual expression. We think Aradia conveys the urgency and mood of a clandestine coven, worshipping the many deities of Mother Nature. With all that’s going on with the climate a greater respect for Her is definitely called for.”

Norwegian adventure power metallers EUNOMIA are returning in 2023 with their sophomore full-length "The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II" for release on Rockshots Records this coming September.
Presenting epic, bombastic, fast, powerful fantasy through their compositions, this second record from Eunomia is a group effort, as the first full-length was completely written by band founder, vocalist, and keyboardist Peter Danielsen.
Joined by his brother Marius Danielsen (Legend of Valley Doom), bassist Alexander Ormseth, guitarist Magnar Winther Skorgenes and drummer Alessandro Kelvin (Perc3ption), the tracks on this new offering are more powerful and stronger than before with much more variety than their first effort.
"The Chronicles of Eunomia Part II" also features guests Alessandro Conti (Twilight Force), Arnaud Ménard (Alkemyst), Jimmy Hedlund (Falconer), Matt Krais (ShadowStrike), Ty Christian (Lords of The Trident), Mikael Dahl (Crystal Eyes), Olaf Hayer (Luca Turilli’s band, Dionysus), and Anders Sköld (Veonity). Overall this second full-length has everything from power and symphonic metal elements to contagious choruses, fast double bass drums, and even slow epic songs that fit the storytelling perfectly.
"Everyone in the band has helped shape the new album. We worked hard to get this album the way it sounds. Re-written parts on many songs to make them as perfect as we could. I think the fans will hear that the band has evolved and become better, tighter, and more creative than on the first album. Better melodies, better songwriting, and even more epic than ever. We have leveled up significantly on this album. I believe this album is 10x better than the first one and I think the choruses will be stuck in the minds of fans and I hope they press the replay button many times after listening to it for the first time." adds Peter Danielsen.
Marius Danielsen also adds:
"As the mixing and mastering engineer for this album, I must say it has been quite a journey. My brother and I have worked closely together on this album for about two years. Learning new mixing tricks and carefully carving out space for every single instrument in a dense mix consisting of 250 tracks or so per song has been a cool process to be part of. I think we managed to create an epic-sounding Power Metal album full of glorious melodies and memorable hooks."
Today, Eunomia presents their first musical quest entitled "The Story Goes On".
"Let’s explode into our first single! This is the fastest song I have ever written, I have always wanted to make a song that could fit into a Dragonforce album. Ivan Giannini from Derdian/Vision Divine and Arnaud Ménard from Alkemyst sings their hearts out in this one. Fast riffs, fast and melodic guitar solo from the one and only Jimmy Hedlund from Falconer, a lot of fast epic drums, and an epic chorus. This song is the last song on the album, but I felt it needed to be shown first because I love this song so much." comments Peter Danielsen.

Not slowing down, the band is already in the works for writing "The Chronicles of Eunomia Part 3" and looks forward to performing live.

"We picked the best songs that we had and focused on them. We did pass on a couple that was not right for the narrative of this album. We are already working on the second album. We feel like it will be even more composed and catchy, so to speak. We want to get back in the studio ASAP." adds the band.
To give fans a taste of what's to come, Arch Blade are sharing their music video for their first single "Nightbreed", a super fun and catchy track to get your hails thrown high into the sky!
"Biker demons, speed, and metal are all you need. If you like classic heavy metal, you probably will like this one. It was inspired by the early 80s Iron Maiden and Judas Priest tunes, and it sounds like something from that time. It’s also our first official video, and that was a lot of fun shooting it in the desert outside of LA with a bunch of our friends." says the band.

The “Exiles Of Pantheon” video was created in collaboration with @9literfilmy film agency. Comments vocalist/guitarist ATF Sinner, “We're extremely proud to present this picture for one of the most brutal and vicious tracks on Rugia. The song is about an old faith being reborn through an unholy, blood-soaked ritual. There are references to archaic beliefs on the island of Rugia – the last bastion of western Slavic paganism. Making this video was one hell of a challenge, because we were shooting throughout the night in extreme weather conditions. In the end, I think we got a picture that fits perfectly with the music. Watching it, you can almost feel freezing cold rain slashing at your face. I've no doubt our best video thus far.”

We re-recorded Bestial Devastation and Morbid Visions with the amazing sound of NOW, but with its raw and timeless spirit. The artwork reflects the times we’re living in right now…. Apocalyptic as hell! We also have two new tracks with riffs from those days, remembered by heart.”
Iggor Cavalera states, “I always felt like the recordings of our earlier work didn’t do justice to the way we performed the songs. Morbid Visions and Bestial Devastation were re-recorded at The Platinum Underground. The albums were produced by Max Cavalera and Iggor Cavalera while John Aquilino handled the engineering. ROCKIN' ENGINE is proud to present the result of an amazing collaborative effort with Dark Moon Productions and Light Is Art studio. Monsters Under Your Bed was a very challenging project. Musically, we wanted people to hear the evolution in our style, with a rhythmic introduction and heart pounding riffs, to melodic choruses that keep playing in your head over and over again. The main inspiration for the lyrics was the storyline of Wes Craven’s Nightmare On Elm Street. So visually, we wanted to recreate our own version of certain scenes in the movie and make the cinematic experience as big as possible.

Blaze of Perdition "Transmutation of Sins" from "The Harrowing of Hearts" album.
Existing at the forefront of the Polish black metal movement, Blaze Of Perdition return with their fifth full-length, The Harrowing Of Hearts - their most urgent, refined, dynamic and accomplished work to date. Richly layered, it is also their most textured release, and they dive ever deeper into the themes they have been exploring since dropping their debut full-length in 2010, Towards The Blaze Of Perdition. "I would say the new record is to 2017's 'Conscious Darkness' what [2011's] 'The Hierophant' was for 'Towards The Blaze Of Perdition' - a continuation of the initial idea, but in more energetic and catchy form. Perhaps more approachable and listener-friendly, but it's not up to me to decide," states vocalist Sonneillon. "Although some gothic rock influences could be heard on 'Conscious Darkness', here we took them out of the shadows and let them shine in the spotlight. It's also our most collectively written effort so far, with every band member throwing something meaningful to the whole."
Working with the same producer they've been teaming with since 2013 and with artwork designed by Izabela Grabda (facebook.com/Koniec-Czasu-100131781332285/ // instagram.com/koniec.czasu), every aspect of The Harrowing Of Hearts has come together as intended, and with Metal Blade now behind them, the band are now ready to work their asses off to spread their name ever further. It's also safe to say the members of Blaze Of Perdition don’t feel like they have anything to prove going into 2020. "To me, art isn't about proving anything to anyone, it's about the expression of whatever one wants to express and channeling emotions and/or abstract concepts into something perceptible, something that might turn out to be just as precious for others. Focusing on proving anything to anyone usually doesn't do any good for artistic endeavors."
