The End of My Road, FAR BEYOND’s latest full-length, is an ambitious and fastidiously curated amalgam of melodeath, symphonic and power metal, covering themes of courage and heart in the face of depression and hardship. The album’s contemplative atmospherics and concentrated sonic extremities merge seamlessly with a deft poetic touch.

Formed in the early 2000s, FAR BEYOND is the solo project of Eugen Dodenhoeft. Based in the Franconian Switzerland region of Germany, FAR BEYOND’s history to this point has been one of slow and steady artistic progression with 2005’s An Angel's Requiem and 2016’s A Frozen Flame Of Ice albums showcasing Dodenhoeft’s penchant for seamlessly alternating dynamics of gothic and death metal symphonia.

Sodom gelten neben Kreator als die Urväter der deutschen Thrash-Metal-Szene. 1981 gründete sich die Band um Frontmann Thomas "Tom Angelripper" Such in Gelsenkirchen.
Während in den ersten Jahren eher das Zusammensein und der Spaß als die Musik im Mittelpunkt standen, entwickelten sich Sodom schnell zu einer international anerkannten Metal-Band. Sodom war die erste Thrash-Metal-Band überhaupt, der der Sprung in die Charts gelang. Sowohl ihr musikalischer Stil als auch die Form ihres Auftretens brachten Sodom gleichzeitig den Ruf ein, die mit Abstand aggressivste Band ihrer Zunft zu sein.
Nach einigen Vorstößen in punkigere Gefilde Anfang der Neunziger, kehrten Sodom zurück zu ihrem ursprünglichen Sound, der im Laufe der folgenden Alben noch eine Spur aggressiver wurde. Die Musik vieler aktueller Death- , Black- und Thrash-Metal-Bands ist nach wie vor stark vom extremen Spielstil Sodoms beeinflusst. Sodom selbst betrachten die englischen Metal-Pioniere Venom als ihren größten Einfluss, sowohl musikalisch als auch optisch.
